Why Murder She Wrote is an excellent tv show.

Murder She Wrote - Is possibly my favourite program in the world. If you haven't watched it before it sounds absolutely mental, Jessica Fletcher an extremely famous mystery writer (think Christie level)  and ex school teacher from a small town called Cabot cove in Maine solves MURDERS? When a murder takes place Jessica always appears to be around or is consulted by the local sheriff Amos Tupper, it appears she is allowed to meddle as she has an logical brain. The ridiculousness of the plot of Murder She Wrote is not the only reason, I adore it but  also how it is completely harmless and non threatening, no way do you ever feel that realism of violence and pain that can be so prevalent in hard hitting murder shows, It is unlikely Jessica will ever succumb to taking crystal meth as an escape . The show has a nostalgic edge to it, with it mainly being filmed in the 1980's and early nineties, so the inventions of the mobile phones and computers are new and slightly glamorous rather than part of everyday life. The fashions are a clear message too of where shoulder pads can go too far, and power dressing that would make most people wince.

If you haven't watched it do, its 40 minutes long and if it won't entertain you, it will certainly make you smile. She's the modern Marple.

Top 5 Conventions of Murder She Wrote -
1) Jessica will always laugh before the credits end.
2) Someone in the episode will refer to her as world famous
3) She has 1000000+ Nephews or Nieces
4) Nobody challenges her in police stations when she talks to detectives
5) She knows everything about anyone in Cabot Cove.
